Harry's Pet Health Awareness Posters

My neighbor came home on the night of December 3rd. She locked the door and closed it. She heard it latch but it didn’t really latch. Sometime during the night the wind blew the door open and her dogs got out. With the help of some wonderful and very kind strangers she was able to locate Sammy the next day but Harry is still missing.

Harry is a Weimaraner and he is a very special boy. Harry is not just a dog but he is a Pet Advocate too. He is featured on more than eight of the Pet Advocate’s Pet Health Awareness posters. He is featured on E-greeting cards, invitations and puzzle cards, screen savers, Pet Health Awareness videos and Pet Health Flyers. He has truly helped to promote the Pet Health Awareness Campaign. Harry is also featured on 5 Christmas cards and his posters have been used on many websites. He has been featured on greeting cards for more than six years, since he was a puppy.

We have been searching St. Cloud for hours each and every day in an effort to find Harry. Flyers have been distributed all over town, an ad has been put in the paper and a reward is being offered. We believe that someone has him and is refusing to return him. Weimaraners are great dogs and they are rather expensive. Weims can be adopted from Weimaraner Rescue, Harry already has a home, a family and a job. His family is very worried about him and they truly miss him. It is imperative that we find him quickly.

Harry is not just a missing pet. He is much more. We have contacted the local media and sent them images from the greeting cards that Harry is on and some of his Pet Health Awareness posters. They know that he is on many websites in the US and he is even on one website in Denmark.

Rabies Vaccination, Medical Exemptions And Your Dog


We made banners and dressed up the "Mikey Mobile." We spent most of that day driving up and down the streets of St. Cloud searching for Harry. People were wonderful! Some stopped their cars in the middle of the road while others came running out of their houses to the truck asking for flyers.

We are continuing to search for Harry. We truly believe that someone has him and is refusing to give him back to his family. The flyers have been posted all over town, there is an ad in the local paper and searchers are driving the streets everyday talking to people and handing out more flyers. Harry's human looks for him at the dog pound on a regular basis. She even visits the Orlando facility with hope of finding him there. There are daily searches of internet sites such as Pet Finder and Fido Finder. Weimaraner Rescue contacted approximately 200 rescuers and Weim clubs. We even made that dreaded call to the "road crew" to see if perhaps they had found his body. We believe that the media could help us to find Harry. If the person / people who has him won't return him to his family we must rely on others who may have seen him to lead us to him and help bring him home where belongs.
